| Welcome!
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope that you find
it informative, not only with regard to my achievements,
but my plans for the future of the Norfolk County District
Attorney’s office. Please check back often for campaign
announcements, press releases, and information about how
we can work together to improve the effectiveness of the
Norfolk County District Attorney’s office for all
of our citizens.
It is important to have a strong leader in the District
Attorney’s office. The District Attorney’s position
and staff can improve the protection and safety of all our
citizens, especially the most vulnerable; our children and
senior citizens.
The District Attorney manages the largest law firm in Norfolk
County, demanding not only knowledge of the law, but experience
in the courts, and the ability to lead and supervise a team
of staff prosecutors. My diverse experience demonstrates
not only my qualifications, but my passion for working together
to accomplish important goals.
- As a legislator for 34 years, I have worked diligently
to write and pass the laws that give District Attorneys
the legal tools they need to prevent and prosecute crime.
- For over 25 years, I have tried important and complex
cases in courtrooms across the state. Hands-on trial experience
is invaluable in understanding the laws, not just as they
are written, but in how they are implemented.
- As founder and senior managing partner of a large law
firm, I have hired, trained and supervised attorneys –
including one who went on to become the Suffolk County
District Attorney.
Recently, I was asked why I would leave the State Senate
to pursue the District Attorney’s Office. It was an
easy question to answer. There are times when life presents
us with an opportunity to use our strengths and experience
to make a difference – and, for me, this is one of
those times.
Not only am I proud of my work as a legislator and trial
attorney, but also, the community work I have done with
domestic violence prevention and drug and alcohol abuse
education. Now I welcome, as District Attorney, the opportunity
to keep our streets safe through the vigorous prosecution
of sex crimes against children, repeat drunk drivers, drug
dealers and drug traffickers, and anyone who preys on our
senior citizens.
I welcome the opportunity to personally discuss my campaign
with you. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer,
please visit our Campaign Headquarters at 45 Willard St
in Quincy. You may also call Campaign Headquarters at 617-376-0900
or send us an e-mail, info@votemorrissey.com.
I value your input to discuss ways of maximizing the effectiveness
of the District Attorney’s office, implement new initiatives
to increase community involvement, and improve public safety
throughout our county.
Sincerely,

Michael W. Morrissey
